Vincent Casanova releases a New album on Archipel
Some people will now wonder if loving sci-fi is a must to be on the label to do an album but we swear that… well, we do love sci-fi but more so, we simply love to fall under the charm of beautiful music. Casanova stands well with his name and it is futile to resist his charm here, with this beautiful new LP he did for us.
Not sure where to classify this one, perhaps under tech house or spaced out stripped down techno. You name it as you like as long as you play it. Hear it now!

Since we’re a little bit behind with Somfay’s CD launch, as we realised last week we were no elves but simple musicians, we decided to offer you to buy it through here. You can simply hit us by email at info@archipel.cc and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. CDBaby will have copies next week, hopefully.
Prices are in canadian dollars:
- Collectible edition (limited) with pictures @ 35$ (each item is unique or so)
- Regular jewel case copy (no picture set) @ 18$

He will openly say that he has been largely influenced by the whole Border Community label and somehow, it shows in its sound. We received a lot of emails and questions, we’ll now answer them for you all hyped Somfay fans.
Q: Can I buy a copy of the limited edition CD?
A: The pre-sale period is now over. People who reserved a copy will receive it through mail as soon as we’re done assembling the packages. We reserved a little number of copies that will be on sales on CDBaby.
Q: Will there be other copies available apart from the limited series?
A: Yes there will be a simple version of the album, in jewel case, without the pictures. The price will also be reduced.
Q: Can I pre-order the simple version?
A: That version is not limited, there will most likely be enough for everyone. Although, we hope many of you are interested 
Q: Is there a mp3 version of the album?
A: Yes, in april.
Q: The album was supposed to be out march 9th, why can’t I find it anywhere?
A: Not sure where you saw that information but the official release date is march 31st as announced in our press-release. CDBaby should get copies in April, depending how the mailmen feel.
Q: Will there be copies in stores?
A: No, we’re really not interested in working with distribution and stores. We’d like to keep a very close relation to our supporters and sell everything ourselves.

We want to apologize for the last week where we had some problems with hackers, installing viruses on our blog and site. Archipel is really happy to explore the heady world of glitch with one solid technician in the genre, from Berlin, Sven Laux.
Germany’s Sven Laux, who has already built up quite a solid discography for himself, brings his intricate talents to Archipel with “Schnutzn”.
Beginning with “Koguto” we are taken on a slip and slide roller-coaster ride through ebbing and flowing rhythms which are dotted with well placed skittering scrapes and gentle burps of noise which tie into “Elumio” where the skittering continues, although enveloped in a delicate and luscious melody.

Recently, during the grafika awards held at metropolis, our main designer, Baillat, won 2 prizes for the best graphical design of covers and sleeve. You can lear more about it here.

Our friend Le Cantin has now reached the moment to have his music for free. You can now enjoy this slamming release supported by Troy Pierce, for free.

Why does everybody move to Berlin?
Maybe you heard about the mass exodus that made so many techno producers go to Berlin in the last 2 years. We all have a clear idea about what made them do that but a silly duo from Denver decided to make a tongue in cheek track about it.
